OJK and Banyuwangi Regional House of Representatives: Bina Artha Ventura is a Legal and Official Microfinance Institution

Banyuwangi – PT Bina Artha Ventura (BAV) reaffirms its commitment to supporting microfinancing in Indonesia through its legally operating branch in Banyuwangi Regency, specifically in the Purwoharjo area. In a coordination meeting with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Banyuwangi Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), it was confirmed that Bina Artha is officially licensed as a venture capital company and is under the supervision of the OJK.

Ms. Emy Wahyuni Dwi Lestari, Chairman of Commission II of the Banyuwangi DPRD, emphasized the importance of this clarification to provide reassurance to the public. “Together with OJK, we have conducted verification. We affirm that PT Bina Artha Ventura is legal and has an official license. The public has nothing to worry about,” stated Ms. Emy during the official meeting.

This affirmation was echoed by Mr. Mohammad Mufid, a representative from the OJK Jember office. He emphasized that Bina Artha is a legally recognized financing institution. “PT Bina Artha Ventura is a company registered and licensed by the OJK as a venture capital firm. They operate in accordance with prevailing regulations,” Mr. Mufid explained.

Mr. Sahala Siahaan, Chief Operating Officer of PT Bina Artha Ventura, welcomed the clarification efforts carried out by the DPRD and OJK. He expressed the company’s full commitment to maintaining public trust. “We suffered a loss of up to IDR 1 billion due to incitement by irresponsible individuals. However, we chose to resolve this matter professionally and remain focused on serving the community,” said Mr. Sahala.
